Welcome to the inaugural edition of Penmarc’s Monthly Newsletter – The Why Behind the Work.
As we discussed launching this newsletter, I kept coming back to a simple question: Why do we do what we do?
The answer goes far beyond closets, shelving, garages, and installation schedules. At its core, our work is about people. It’s about creating exceptional experiences for customers, supporting our teams in the field, and strengthening partnerships built over years of trust, consistency, and shared success.
That is the purpose of this newsletter.
We want this to be more than an update. We want it to be a place where we celebrate wins, share perspectives, recognize great work, and continue building the strong relationship between The Container Store and Penmarc. There are thousands of interactions happening every day across stores, homes, and job sites that contribute to our collective success. Too often, those stories go untold. We hope this newsletter helps shine a light on the people and efforts that make it all possible.
Over the past year, The Container Store has experienced some significant changes. As with any period of transition, there have been challenges, opportunities, questions, and moments that require teams to adapt quickly. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: the dedication of the people serving customers every day.
We see it in your stores. We see it in the passion of your designers and sales teams. We see it in the commitment to helping customers create organized, functional spaces that improve their lives. We also see it in our installers across the country who proudly represent both Penmarc and The Container Store inside customers’ homes every single day.
That shared commitment is what makes this partnership special.
For almost 10 years, Penmarc has had the privilege of serving The Container Store and its customers. During that time, both organizations have grown, evolved, and adapted to changing markets and customer expectations. Yet one thing has never changed: our commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Partnerships that last this long are built on more than contracts and processes. They are built on trust. They are built on showing up when it matters. They are built on working through challenges together and staying focused on the customer, especially during uncertain times.
At Penmarc, we often say that our purpose is not simply to complete installations. Our purpose is to create confidence. Confidence that the customer made the right decision.
